Region, which is developing a number of oil, gas and condensate offshore
fields to produce to the BTC pipeline and via Russia.

Algerian Oil and Gas Production

An evaluation and assessment project for insurers at two major locations in the Sahara Desert. These facilities are capable of producing about 300,000 Barrels of oil per day each. The plants comprise 2 stage separation followed by 2 stage desalting, power generation from associated gas, high pressure gas compression for re-injection, high pressure water re-injection, crude storage and export, support utilities and base camps. The surveys included onshore well production, well stream collection and flowlines.

Algerian LPG and Petrochemicals Production

An evaluation and assessment project for insurers at two major locations in Arzew and Skikda for the production Methanol, Urea and Phenolic based Resins, Ethylene, Polyethylene, Vinyl Chloride, PVC and other derivatives. An LPG distillation and bulk storage complex was also surveyed.

Angolan Refinery

An evaluation and assessment project for insurers at this main refinery in Angola.

Angola Oil Storage Terminals

An evaluation and assessment project for insurers at six main storage sites in Angola (Luanda, Lobito, Huambo).

Argentinean Ethylene Plant

An integrated Ethylene plant in South America. The Suregrove project involved an evaluation and assessment of risks and loss potentials for a large South American broker.

Argentinean Oil Company

For a period of 5 years Suregrove carried out Risk Management Activities including Engineering Surveys of a major oil and gas company. Three main refinery sites have been inspected, a petrochemicals complex and two LPG gas bottling plants. Recently the new oil pipeline over the Andes from Argentina to Chile was surveyed. This work has also included risk management reports and seminars on safety and loss prevention aspects for the workforce in Buenos Aires.

BP Sullom Voe Oil and Gas Terminal

An evaluation and assessment project for insurers at the largest oil and gas reception terminal in Europe. These facilities are capable of producing about 1,000,000 Barrels of oil per day each. The plants comprise 2 stage separation followed by 2 stage desalting, power generation from associated gas, high pressure gas compression for re-injection, high pressure water re-injection, crude storage and export, support utilities and base camps in the Shetlands, UK. The work included a valuation of the facilities.

Bulgarian Refining & Petrochemicals

Risk survey of the largest refining, petrochemicals and power plant in the Eastern Bloc in 2000 and 2003.

Chinese Terminal

Suregrove has carried out surveys at a petroleum and products storage and distribution complex in China, which is part of a number of terminals owned by a Norwegian Shipping Company across the world.

Colombian Oil Company

Risk Engineering surveys of a major refinery complex in central Colombia and a refinery in Cartageña. Provision of Risk Management Seminars on LPG and other selected topics were also carried out.

Colombian Petrochemicals

Risk Engineering surveys of two major petrochemical plants in northern Colombia at Barranquilla and Cartageña.

Cyprus Refinery

Risk Survey of a Shell Refinery in Cyprus, which produces high quality fuels oils from Middle East/Eastern Block Crude Oils.

Czech Republic Lube Oil Plant

Risk Survey of a Unipetrol Refinery in the Czech Republic in 2001, which produces high quality lube oils from Eastern Block Crude Oils.

Czech Republic Lube Oil Plant

Risk Survey of a Unipetrol Refinery in the Czech Republic in 2003, which produces high quality lube oils from Hydrocracked Feedstocks.

East Siberian Refinery and Petrochemicals

A risk study was carried out at the main refinery and petrochemicals complex in Angarsk. This study involved inspection of the refinery, polymers, fertilisers, chemicals and utilities. A valuation was carried out in 1997.

Ecuador Refineries

Risk Analyses of all the major refineries in Ecuador, the crude oil pipeline across the country and petroleum products storage terminals.

England – Condensate Terminal

Risk survey of a condensate reception facility associated with oil/gas production from the North Sea. This involved recommendations to improve the risk.

French Petrochemicals Plants

At the request of the Leading Underwriters, risk engineering surveys were made at a major petrochemicals complex in Southern France. The processes involved acetylene, carbon monoxide, vinyl acetate monomer and acetic acid manufacture. Re-survey in 2000 to follow up recommendations.
